Description

Responsibilities:

Duties include purchasing Macbook accessories, preparing Macbooks and/or accessories for new hires, then shipping them to the employee. Position will also entail providing support for employees returning to the office.

Take first level issues/requests received from Help Desk and correctly triaging, categorizing and prioritizing each. Remotely access user’s computers using team viewer to troubleshoot issues.

Assist with conference room prep for video conferencing. This will include configuring screens for sleep mode and working with Polycom support for Zoom room issues. Duties will also include preparation assistance for all-hands meetings via hybrid Zoom and in-person using Zoom.

Assist with projects such as rolling out new office copiers/scanners/printers with follow-me printing and other light project work.

 The shift will depend on current staff and candidate/Client needs. Looking for in-office 20 hours per week.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant Helpdesk/Service desk experience
  • Experience with Incident tracking application
  • Desire to work in fast paced and rapidly changing environment with high incident volume
  • Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies and procedures and maintain superior customer service at all times with users.
  • Needs to be good at asking questions that drive to discovery of problem/ troubleshooting
  • Open to change and willingness to change
  • Must be able to use a reasonable amount of judgment under minimal supervision
  • Team-oriented; willing to communicate with other team members, and be an advocate between IT team and end-users
  • Must be hungry and want to make IT a career

1-2 YEARS OF IT EXPERIENCE TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Mac
  • Google
  • Slack
  • Zoom

Hardware

  • Intermediate Macbook and Desktop Hardware resolution knowledge
  • Basic Printer and all-in-one device Knowledge

Networking

  • General understanding of terminology (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, FTP, router, switch, client, server, etc.).
  • Must know what ping and trace route are and be able to release an IP address.
  • Some Remote access and VPN support experience

Mobile Devices

  • Experience on iPhone, and iPad, support and good familiarity; with webmail access on other devices.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience replacing or troubleshooting peripherals such as, hard drives, memory, network interface cards, DVD-RW, and docking stations.
  • Able to troubleshoot network connectivity issues down to the desktop level.
  • Business Application troubleshooting skills.
  • Relevant MAC certifications
